The Swistar Watch Company has a brief but rich history that is the envy of several competitors.  The Swistar Watch Company has been in existence since 1972.  From a models 3000 watches per year, we now sell over 2 million watches annually and are still growing.  Such achievements are the result of a combination of historic tradition and a pioneering spirit that is upheld today with very fine examples of watch making.

SWISTAR watches were first introduced to the north and South American market in 1997. They are now being sold through reputed distributors to independently owned watch and jewelry stores in New York, Florida, Texas, California, Washington, Georgia, Illinois, Michigan, Arizona, Toronto, British Columbia and many other North American states. Tungsten Hardmetal:
Virtually scratch and corrosion proof due to its highest compressive strength and melting point, Tungsten Hardmetal is used as a heavy metal alloy in armor piercing artillery and tank shielding for the military.

All Swistar watches are water-resistant to a depth of at least 30 meters (3 atm / 100 feet) with most models accommodating water-resistance of 100 meters (10 atm / 300+ feet).

Indestructible?
Tungsten carbide, high-tech ceramics, and sapphire crystal are among the hardest and most resistant materials on earth. But these super-hard and scratchproof materials are not indestructible. Materials in the area of diamond and corundum on the hardness scale can produce minor scratches. According to the laws of physics, objects of extreme hardness are more liable to breakage. What exactly is…

…Sapphire crystal?
Sapphire crystal, in contrast with conventional watch crystals, is resistant to scratching. This precious crystal protects Swistar watches. Over sixty work steps stand between the crude sapphire and the scratchproof crystal. Shaped with diamond-coated tools and finished as a perfectly polished surface, or a consummately formed cupola, sapphire crystal is both a hard protective shield and a visual highlight.

…High-Tech ceramics?
High-tech ceramics is made from zirconium-oxide powder or titanium-carbide powder. In a special high-tech process, and under enormous heat, the ultra-fine powder is given form. The resultant high-tech ceramics gets its magical brilliance from the final polishing with diamond. High-tech ceramics has proven its extreme resistance in an impressive fashion: as the heat shield of the space shuttle it protects from the tremendous heat of re-entry into the earth’s atmosphere.
